What is Triphala?  What are the health benefits of Triphala?

Triphala is a blessing of Ayurveda - very simple combination with so many health benefits. 

The herbal formula Triphala consists of equal parts of three Indian fruits (without seed) Amalaki(Emblica Officinalis), Harithaki(Terminalia Chebula), Vibithaki(Terminalia Bellerica).

In Ayurveda Triphala is believed to be useful for numerous disorders. 

According to Ayurveda Triphala should serve to balance all three Doshas - Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Haritaki - reduces Vata, Vibhitaki - reduces kapha, Malaki - reduces Pitta

Triphala is consumed in powder form (Triphala choorna or Vara Choornam). Those who are not comfortable in using powder form could use tablets.
